  • Arghelan has written a spiffy web-based text editor that generates the necessary TFE editor commands.

  • Some player-run TFE-themed web sites:

  • A map generated by Hedrack from the stock TFE world:
  • Other MUD codebases--start your own MUD!
  • A listing of time zone values that can be used with the MUD's "time -z" command (see help time):

  • Some vaguely TFE-themed comics:
  • Our hosting service... with whom we are generally pleased.
  • Looking for a MUD to play? Try these sites:
The MUD Connector -- highly recommended

Game & MUD World -- lots of info but fairly uptight
GameOgre

  • Some popular telnet applications and MUD clients:
PuTTY - A free terminal emulator for Windows, better than using Windows telnet. What you need is putty.exe.
zMUD - A popular commercial MUD client with a free 30-day trial.
MUDix - For Linux or Windows. Seems pretty good.

  • The Eternal Forest is one of the more popular TFE clone MUDs. They used to have a web site but it seems to be broken now.

  • Seltha runs a TFE clone MUD called Legacy's Dawning. He also maintains an excellent web site with TFE-related material, including pictures of past and present players, and TFE codebase distributions of varying quality.
